Today in the Tiger's room staff created a fine motor gym board.
By providing fun activities we can strengthen children's muscle development within the hands and fingers.

Practicing these skills will help children to complete tasks such as dressing, holding equipment and/or tools and resources, to do things such as early mark making.
The children had the opportunity to use their fingers to push, pull, lace and balance a variety of resources, such as golf tees, gem stones andlacing beads.

The children also created structures and patterns.
This activity could be used with your child at home using such things as sieves, whisks, pots with holes in, straws, conkers etc.
